- By airplane

Florence is well-connected with the rest of Italy and with Europe, and it is easy to reach.

“Amerigo Vespucci”  (Official WebSite) is a small airport  and it's only three miles far from the city centre. The related infrastructure and facilities are constantly being upgraded.

This airport is connected with Florence train station "Santa Maria Novella"  by  Vola in Bus line.

Frequency :every 30 minutes; from train station to airport (5.30 am - 11.00 pm) - from the airport to train station (6.00 am - 11.30 pm).

An alternative airport is the International airport of Pisa (Official WebSite), located along the coast at only 1 km from the city of Pisa, is accessible from the A11 and A12 motorways, from the Florence-Pisa-Livorno highway, from the normal city roads, and from the railway network. Pisa airport is connected with the Florence train station with Terravision bus line.

- By train

Florence is also a key node on the Italian railway network. Santa Maria Novella is the main railway station of Florence. To reach Florence from Rome it's possible to take direct FrecciaRossa train (duration of journey: 90 min). FrecciaRossa trains are available also from Bologna (duration of journey: 37 min) and from Milan (duration of journey: 105 min).
